What? You filed your tax return by mail and then mailed it
two more times?
Why? That is likely a big part of why you have not received your refund. That can cause a lot of confusion at the IRS. Do not send the return again. You need to wait for the IRS to sort out the multiple returns you filed. You can try calling them to see if your return is under review, but they only answer a small number of phone calls.
To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri
Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
Sorry that is NORMAL this year. Especially for mailed returns. Millions are still waiting. Hope it didn't mess you up by mailing it again. That usually delays it even more. Did you get a tracking number from the post office when you mailed it so you know if they got it?
Does it show up yet at IRS Where's my refund
When will you get your refund?

Thank you, I sent out a return in Feb, but nothing happened and after 5 months, in July my tax accountant told me to send it out again. Then again a third time in October. I don't know if it was rotten advice or not but at this point I don't know what's happening, The IRS website does not say they've accepted it, USPS says it delivered it.
Sending a return more than once does not cause IRS confusion.
IRS just puts you at the bottom of the pile.
