I still haven't got an answer from IRS. This was the first time for me filing taxes. Will I have to visit an IRS office to verify my identity?

I heard that all new filers have to visit an IRS office, or might the personal information I entered to turbotax be enough?

You can check Where's My Refund site. The only time you'll have to verify your identity is if they send you a letter. Then it's just a call to verify it.
