I started to amend my tax return. Realized I didn’t need to make any changes. Finished return, and notified me no changes were made. Do I still have to mail it in now that I have

No, if you don't have any changes in the amended return, you don't have to file it.  In fact, the IRS does not want to process amended tax returns for no reason.  They have no way of knowing you have even prepared it.

What if you did file it eventhough there was no change?

Why did you file it even though there were no changes? What were you trying to do?

 

I imagine that the IRS will process the 1040X, even if there were no changes.

The first time I filed it was rejected and the second time I did it I thought it was rejected as well because I didn't see the acceptance email so I thought I needed to amend it.
