I sold a peice of artwork that I owned through an employer and they took a percentage of the sales and then gave me a 1099 misc. How do I record this?

Enter this as other common income:

1) Select federal>income and expenses>show all income

2) then go to Less Common Income>show more>Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C

3) Select start>scroll down to the bottom where it says Other reportable income select start

4) You reach a screen that says Any Other Taxable Income? Select yes

5) Here you would give a description and the amount.
