I received the 1444 notice that the irs was sending a check for the first payment but it never arrived. Will I be able to claim the full amount when I file in 2020?

Will this years tax forms be set up to address those that were sent the 1444 notice but never received the money? The IRS probably thinks I was paid.

if you received the 1444 you were paid; suggest tracking it down.  best to resolve that before filing. to be clear that form 1444 is the letter from the White House with Donald Trump's signature on it,

look on your 2019 tax form , line 21 - that is where the payment would have been direct deposited to, call that bank.

It's nearly impossible to talk to a live person at the IRS. The number on form 1444, that is just a long recording then it hangs up. No way to talk to anyone. I called the IRS many times this morning, and they aren't taking calls. This whole system is just one big mess!!!
