I received one document from turbotax after I filed my federal and state taxes. Do I send the whole packet, one to the state and one to the federal?

What kind of document? Are you referring to an email of confirmation?

If you e-filed with TurboTax, you do not need to submit anything to both IRS and the State unless the program tells you to do so.
