I received an 1099INT that I later discovered had the incorrect social security number (all other info is correct) I have already efiled and been accepted, how do i fix ?

i have not received a corrected 1099 as of now but i have requested one.  what are my next steps to remedy this situation as my imagine my return will be rejected upon review - Thank you in advance for your assitance!

If the IRS accepted the return, you would not need to amend the return.

thank you but what I mean is when they review it to approve my refund won't they see the mismatch and therefore reject it making me have to amend?  thanks again for your support!

Don't worry, the IRS will contact you if they need anything else from you.
