I received a letter from the IRS showing interest income that I need to report on my taxes. Where should I enter the interest income received from the IRS on my taxes?

Enter it as a Form 1099-INT, just like interest from a bank. For the payer's name enter Internal Revenue Service, and enter the amount of interest in box 1. You don't have to enter anything else.
