To enter interests received from a bank follow the instructions below

If you are using TurboTax Online

  • From your TurboTax Home Screen select Income. Scroll down to +Add Income. Select Investments and Savings and then click Add on Interests on 1099-INT. (This will add the section to your main screen)
  • Go back to the home screen, income section to find the Interest screen.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop

  • From the main screen Select the Federal Taxes tab and then Wages & Income.
  • Locate the Interest and Dividends section, and click Start on Interest on 1099-INT
