I put the wrong birthday in for my wife, do i just wait for a rejection and redo my taxes or should i amend them now with her correct birthday?

No, don't amend. Your return will be rejected because the IRS matches your name with your SSN and birth date. When your return gets rejected,
make the necessary changes before re-sending or filing.

You don't need to amend for a wrong birthday unless it changes the age to over or under 65.
