I put down the out of state income in 2022 but they sent a letter stating that I did not file--how dod I fix this

Please explain what you mean when you say "I put down the out of state income in 2022."   Did you live in one state but work and earn income in a different state?  Did you file a non-resident state tax return for the state you worked in?   Did you file a resident state tax return for the state you lived in?    What were the two states?
