I purchased Turbo Tax on line, can I still use my copy to do my mom's taxes?

My mom passed away last year, I need to do her final taxes.

I'm sorry for your loss. You need to create another TurboTax online account to file your mom's taxes and possibly purchase another product (If she does not qualify to use the federal free edition.). When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee.  Each return needs its own account and user ID. If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.

When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you install from a CD or download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software. You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns—more if you mail the additional ones.  If you have multiple returns to prepare for family members, Desktop is more cost effective.

"i purchased TurboTax online"    "use my copy"

That's hard to interpret.    Did you purchase the Online (website) version or did you buy the desktop version (CD/download) from an online site?   "My copy" makes it sound like a desktop product.    In any case, see the answer TurboTaxTMOnyinyeb left you below distinguishing the 2 products.

If you purchased the desktop software, we can tell you how to start another return in your installed product.  If the website version, you'll need another account as explained in the answer below.
