I prepared a return but now it is not there. Is there a way of recovering the file?

I lost the input info.  I believe it happended when I went to file and clicked on save.  Then I exited out and it asked me if I wanted to save it.  Because I just had saved it I think I answered it no and then the input data was gone.  A day or two later I shut down my computer then when I started it back up all my info was there that I had put in originally.
