I owe state taxes and provoded my bank acc. info to pay what I owe. I chose a date for the money to be taken out but it has been a week and money is still in my account.

how long does it take for irs to take the money out?

State tax?   The IRS has nothing to do with your state tax due.   Your state must be paid-- not the IRS--if you owe the state.     There are not many states that allow direct debit as a method of payment for the tax you owe them.  Most states want a check or money order, or payment on their own website.

sorry yes state. When i finished filing, TurboTax offered an option to pay what was owed and choose a date for the money to be debit. I set it for same day and it still has not come out of my account.

Please contact your state using the link provided by xmasbaby0 above.  Depending upon the state, there will be a location to track your refund. If you are unable to find it, please comment back with your state name and we will help you find the location to track your state refund. 

 

Once your return is filed and accepted, TurboTax will not have any information on when payments will be taken out.
