I noticed a box checked incorrectly on my EIC form. My daughter was under 24, so the box shouldn't have been checked. It should've been skipped.

Would it have made a difference in my refund? Do I need to submit a correction when I file for 2016?

Look at the form ... was 4A marked no and 4B marked yes?  If so lines 5 & 6 should be filled in and you would have gotten the EIC on the form 1040.

A "Yes"  on line 4A would get you the same results.
