i need to file returns for three families like i did last year how is that done in the new system?

If you have the desktop download software it will be just the same as last year.  The ONLY difference is that instead of installing from a CD, you download the software.   Desktop software can still be used to prepare and e-file up to five federal returns---more if you mail the other ones.
