I need to amend my tax return because i forgot a 1099r along with a 1099int. Do I need to amend federal and state return?

Does turbo tax do this automatically when I start to amend it?

Yes, you will need to amend both since you are adding income. TurboTax will ask you if you want to amend the state in addition to the federal.  Answer yes, and you will amend both forms. The amended forms are not available quite yet but are expected to be later this week.
