I need to amend mine and my husband's taxes, we both filed married but separate and need to change it to married filing jointly but I am not sure how to do this?

You only amend one of the separate returns (the one that you want to be listed first - usually the more complex one) and then add the spouse to that in the personal information section and the spouses income.     This can only be done manually - there is not way to transfer the spouses information.
