I'm using TurboxTax application on my Mac. I need to amend my 2024 accepted return due to a missed 1099-B. Is anyone having an issue trying to add another Income source?

When I click on Update on any Income source type e.g 1099-INT and then click on "Add Investment" I just get a blank screen with the words "No Form" on the bottom of the screen.

See the blank screen resolution below for amending on a Mac.

To get to the investment summary screen, go to your Income tab, select choose what I'll work on, scroll down to Investment Income, and click Update next to the item you wish to change, such as "stocks..." This will get you to the Investment Summary screen. See screenshot (from a Mac):

See the details in the answer by @MonikaK1 by clicking here. You will also have a screen image example with additional information.

From the 2024 Income Summary Screen I have clicked Update next to the item(s) I wish to change, such as Stocks, 1099-INT and even1099-DIV. They all bring up the screen where I can see my existing investment income BUT.........When I want to add additional entries by selecting "Add Investments" I get a blank screen that looks like the following screen. I get this for Stocks, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV. The Application is NOT bringing me to the screen from where I'm able Import additional institutions investment income.

Note: I have continued to apply all updates for the past several weeks and Still no solution.

I just tried making new income entries on a Mac return. From the Income Summary, there was a second or so delay before the next screen came up, but I was able to edit prior entries and add new ones.

Check to see if your screen resolution may be off. Experiment with using the arrows to navigate around the blank screen to see if the content comes up. Or, try connecting your Mac to another monitor to see if the content displays.

In the past, a user reported that the following steps worked to resolve a blank screen issue:

  1. Save your tax return.  Close the TurboTax program
  2. Right-click on the TurboTax icon on your display
  3. Click on Properties
  4. Click on the Compatibility tab
  5. Check the box Run the program as an administrator
  6. Click on Apply and OK
  7. Start the TurboTax program and see if the problem persists

Try logging off and logging back on; try restarting your Mac. Try clearing your cache and cookies.

If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:

See this help article and this one for instructions on how to contact TurboTax customer support depending on which product you are using.

Thank you for your response but the supplied instructions do not help. I'm using the TurboTax Premier Application on a Mac computer. The 7 steps provided for resolving a blank screen are for the Windows operating system not a Mac.  Additionally the instructions provided about clearing cache and cookies is not applicable as I'm NOT using a web browser to amend my taxes I am using the TurboTax Premier Desktop Application to do the amendment.

I am able to Edit "Existing" Income Entries I just can't Add any additional Income entries.

Please Note: If I create a completely new Tax return I am able to get to ALL of the Income screens and forms, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B needed to file the return. So it's not a screen resolution issue nor moving arrows on screen, which there are none. This problem appears to only be related to when Amending a previously submitted and accepted tax return.

I will call Customer service once again as I've also previously called TurboTax Customer support and identified this Issue to no avail.

I've just confirmed that this is a MAC only problem as I just downloaded the Windows Desktop version and I am able to amend my returns.
