I'm close to completing a draft of my 2020 taxes. When comparing to 2019, I see an incorrect number. How to I fix it so the comparison is accurate

The incorrect number is associated with an IRA,  which I transferred from on Putnam to Vanguard

You moved an IRA from one broker to another, the form 1099-R should have been generated with a rollover code of G or H in box 7. It would appear in pensions on 4a but not in the taxable amount on 4b.

Where are you seeing an issue? With more information we may be of more help.

What number is incorrect?  Where?  An amount or an account number? And on which year?

Thanks for answering.

Towards the very end, after completing the review, there is a pop up screen that shows a high level summary comparing 2020 to 2019.  The line that I wondering about is the 2019 value for pensions. Perhaps, it simply saying I had an 1099-R in 2019 and I didn't have one in 2020, which is the case.

If correct, I'm simply reading too much into the popup

Yes, pension income is reported to you on a 1099-R.   So, if you had one in 2019 but not in 2020, you will only see the pension income listed for 2019.
