There is a screen in TurboTax where you can force the choice between the Standard Deduction and Itemized Deductions. Please do a Search (upper right) for itemized deductions, choosing and then click on the jump-to result.
The screen that comes up will ask you whether you want the Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions. Check "Change my deduction" first, and then two lines for which deduction you want will appear.
