I lost my w2 for two employers. Should I file now and amend later, or apply for an extension to wait on mailed copies

If you are lacking important tax documents such as your W-2, it is recommended that you file for an extension rather than file an amended tax return.  It is free to file a federal filing extension, though please keep in mind that you will still have to pay your estimated taxes (if you owe money) in order to avoid a penalty.

You can file for an extension for both federal and state filings through your TurboTax account.
