I just received my tax refund from Georgia, however, it was for $163 and my return indicated it would be for $221. Can you please explain why I received a lower amount?

How can I find out from the Georgia Dept. of Revenue why my refund was smaller than indicated by the return?

If your State Refund was lower than expected, there can be a few reasons why this would happen. To be 100% certain, you will need to contact the GA State Department of Revenue by clicking on the link below:

The reason you would need to contact them directly, is that we would have no way of knowing why a refund would be reduced or withheld, only the agency which issued the refund would have insight into this.
