I just received a corrected 1098 form the only difference is that on this form they added an amount in box 5(mortgage insurance premiums) Do I need to file an amendment?

You can see if amending your return would increase your refund or decrease your tax owed.  If the new information does not affect your taxable income or income taxes, and there is no need for you to file an amended return.
