Did you choose to pay any  TurboTax fees out of the Federal refund, and if so, has your refund been delayed at the IRS?

How long has it been since you filed?    Once an IRS delay goes 36 days past your original estimated refund date, TurboTax will want to be paid, so it will send you a bill.  If not paid, they will debit your bank account.

The only ones who can provide you any information are the IRS.   They told you it "could" take up to 9 weeks after ID verification, so that gives them a lot of leeway.  It may or may not take that long.   If you are having a hardship, I also provided info in your other thread on how to reach your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

There's not anything you can do unless you can get the Taxpayer Advocate Service to assist you. They are more prone to help if you are having a hardship.    I left you info on how to contact the Taxpayer Advocate Service in your other thread.

In the meantime, if TurboTax sent you an email with a bill, you should either pay it or phone Customer Support to make other arrangements such as a deferment, or they will ultimately debit your bank account.

This is what TurboTax says about fees if your refund is delayed by the IRS longer than 36 days after your original estimated refund date:

  1. "We'll send an email with instructions on how to pay your TurboTax fees (minus the Pay With My Refund fee, if any) by a certain date.
  2. If the fees remain unpaid by the specified date, we'll send two more followup emails asking that you either pay or request a deferment to prevent the fees from being automatically debited from your bank account.
  3. Finally, if you still haven't paid by the requested date, we’ll send a final email letting you know that we're debiting the fees (minus the Pay With My Refund fee, if any) and that the auto-debit process cannot be stopped."
If you want to see if you can request the deferment, here's how to phone Customer Support.  But you should do it soon.  Once they start the debit process they can't stop it.

They are open this weekend.  Hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern) 7 days/week.

I filed February 3rd and I have never had any issues with my taxes.  I have no idea when I will receive my refund.  I did receive an email from turbotax stating I owe 90+dollars for filing fees.  Does this indicate a problem with my refund?

No, the payment request does not indicate a problem with your tax return.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for payment of TurboTax account fees when the federal tax refund is delayed - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/why-was-my-bank-account-auto-debited-for-turbotax-fees/01/26102

I swear.  I’ll never use TurboTax again.  A huge SCAM.  Filed W2, TurboTax got it, state got it fine, IRS claims they “lost” my info and the only way to verify that I’m not a robot is to drive 500 miles to the nearest IRS Scammer building.  TurboTax is now charging me out of debit instead of refund.  Both stole my money.  Should of went to a local tax office.  My uncle warned me of using this crap.  He was right.

Just to note, called support and they said they can’t do anything to extend payment for it’s against policy.  If I don’t have money it will be sent to collections via Suttle and Hammer, same collections that Capital one Uses to rack you over.  Good!

The online link is your best option to track your refund.  I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.

Federal refund questions

There is a delay in processing the returns as the IRS is not processing paper returns at the moment due to Covid-19 and social distancing policies in effect.

@ronaldmgibson

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?  Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive?  Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account.  TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

When your file your tax return successfully and you choose to pay your fees from your Federal refund, the TurboTax program considers the fee paid, even though the federal refund has not been released yet. This is why you see "Payment Completed".

As soon as your return is accepted by the IRS, your info shows at SBTPG, it should have your expected refund amount and it will say that they have not received your refund yet. Once they have your return it will update and tell you when they received it, what they received, what they deducted and when they sent it to your direct deposit account.
