I have to amend my 2017 tax return because I forgot to add my 1095-A on my taxes, my original return was $810, with my 1095-A added I owe $750. Why does it not show $60?

It's displaying I owe $750 directly and not taking away from my original return of $810, shouldn't I just be getting $60 returned?

Make sure you clicked the Amend button before adding your 1095-A. Do you have Form 1040X, federal amended tax return, as your tax form?

I did not notice the "Why did the refund monitor just change to $0" when I first went in. Does the $750 I owe just get deducted from my original $810?

Since refund monitor went to $0 you started an amendment. Can you clarify that the $810 was a tax refund on your original return, and that you didn't receive the $810 tax refund?

Yes, my original return was $810 and I have not yet received my refund.

Thanks. Look at Form 1040x, you amended tax return form, Refund and amount you owe section to see what line the $750 is on. Form 1040x lines 17-23 calculate how much your refund should/will be or how much you owe.

It displays my original return as $810 and I owe $750 but on the "Amount of line 21 you want refunded to you" is says 0?
