I have received notice “Notice of request for information” from NCDOR but my state and federal tax is accepted. Do i need to take any action here?
They are asking documents to process my tax return

Some returns are randomly chosen for compliance review. Send the documents requested.

the longer you take to send the documents the longer it's going to take to get your refund. if you wait too long, the State can disallow items its questioning and send you a bill or reduce your refund. you could even losing your refund altogether.

@vinaysuryawanshi "Accepted" never means the same thing as "approved." If you want the state to approve your refund and issue it to you, you will need to provide the information the state requested. Sometimes those requests are random and sometimes the request happens if some of the income information the state received from you does not match the information sent to them by your employers. Comply with their request as soon as possible so that you can get your refund.
