I have not received my federal refund from the IRS and I filed my tax return on 2/26/21. The IRS website continues to say it is being processed w/ no refund date.

It is now 6/4/21 and I have no clue as to where my refund is. I filed last year around the same time and got my state and federal return within the 21 day period. My federal return was accepted by the IRS, but I have received no communication from them asking for more information or anything to complete processing my refund. Also, I recieved my state refund within the 21 says this year. However, I have yet to hear anything about my federal return. The IRS phone number does not let me connect to an actual person, and it tells me the same information I see on the "Check My Status" website page. I have no idea of who to call or what to do at this point to get my refund.

Turbo Tax only gives you an estimated date. The IRS usually pays most refunds within 21 days. But these are not normal times. This year is taking the IRS longer to send the refunds. There are millions more people filing returns to get the Stimulus payment.

As of May 15, 2021, we had 300,000 individual tax returns received prior to 2021 in the processing pipeline. Including current year returns, as of May 15, 2021, we had 16.4 million unprocessed individual returns in the pipeline. Unprocessed returns include those requiring correction to the Recovery Rebate Credit amount or validation of 2019 income used to figure the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). This work does not require us to correspond with taxpayers but does require special handling by an IRS employee so, in these instances, it is taking the IRS more than 21 days to issue any related refund. If, as a result, a correction is made to any RRC, EITC or ACTC claimed on the return, the IRS will send taxpayers an explanation. Taxpayers are encouraged to continue to check Where’s My Refund? for their personalized refund status and can review Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions.

Same problem.   Upon my query to IRS re refund, IRS did a tracer and said they deposited my refund with Green Dot Bank on 9/15/2021.   The IRS requested why it wasn't forwarded and Green Dot hasn't responded.  I contacted Green Dot  yesterday - very difficult to get a live person - and was told the account number it was deposited to was non-existent.  IRS says they will keep pursuing with the Bureau of Financial Services, the entity who issues all govt direct deposits, until a response is received which they will forward the info to me.   I can't get thru to IRS so I will send a certified letter with what I learned and hope they will cancel pmt and issue a check to me.    The amount was quite substantial so I am very upset.
