The turbotax documents are not going to be in your email. The email will only confirm that you filed and nothing else. In order to retrieve last year's or past years documents, you have to go to the directory where you saved them last year. It is a good practice to keep a directory per year, for example /turbotax/2018 for the 2018 return etc.
