I have been using Turbo Tax for 7 years with access to create 1099 forms (self employed). Can't find a way to do this under the current version of TurboTax. Help!

Easy way to find QEF -- go to this website:

  • quickemployerforms.intuit.com
  • You will need to sign in (using an existing TTax/Intuit username & password) or create an account.  After you purchase TTax Home & Business (or another acceptable version of TTax), you get "free" eFiling of forms 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, W-2.

I have turbotax self employed.  When I try to follow the directions to get to 1099 forms, it tells me to click on Federal, then Income & Expenses.  That works fine.  The next instruction is to click on Show More, but I don't see that button anywhere.  Could someone help me with this?  Thanks.  Darryl

The navigation has changed a little bit. On the Tax Home page when you log in, you will need to scroll to the very bottom and find this:

  • Click on Create W-2s and 1099s
  • That will bring you to an outside link for Quick Employer Forms

Thank you for this.  I was literally going crazy in the same loop.  I greatly appreciate this and hope that Turbotax fixes the linked guidance document.
