I have been paying all expenses for an operation all of 2022, which didnt become an official npo til oct 22. How do I claim those expenses when I file my taxes as 1099?

My only income is from my 1099 and social security.

Is there a reason the NPO cannot reimburse you for your expenses?

Npo is just beginning and has no funds to reimburse spent money.

At this point, my question remains: when I file as I usually do, tt, 1099 self employed +  ss income, can I take a deduction for npo things I paid for with personal funds? In addition, I have been paying all expenses even before npo became official. Can I also claim these expenses? Ty

Deducting amounts you pay on behalf of another organization on your personal income tax return is most likely improper. Seek guidance from a local professional.
