I have been made to fix my state return. The pre-filled answers cannot be edited and show me making $10,000 more in income than I made. Now I owe taxes. How to fix this?

The "fixed" form seems to be what the actual tax form would look like, complete with difficult to understand tax language. I have filled this out to the best of my knowledge, but now my line 21 total income is reporting an amount well over $10,000 than I actually made and I cannot edit any previous answers. I've deleted my previously filled info on the regular turbotax pages and it still will not let me edit this off "fix the form" page.

Go back to the entries you made on your federal return screens and check the amounts you entered for boxes 16 and 17 from any W-2's you entered, or for any other income from 1099's that you entered.   You probably misplaced a decimal somewhere for the state income and it flowed from your federal return to the state return.
