An amended return is mailed in, the IRS has been closed so they were not processing mailed in returns. I believe now they have started processing mailed in returns but they are very backed up. It will take awhile for mailed in returns to be processed.
All you can do is keep checking the IRS website, Where's My Amended Return, for the status of your Federal amended return.

If you have a State amended return, they processes returns different from the IRS. You can check your State's website to see if they have the option to check the process of your amended return.
