I have an equipment repair business. I paid for parts that I was reimbursed for. How do I write off what i paid?

customer paid me in one lump sum which included the cost of parts that I purchased

You can deduct the cost of parts as "Supplies" (assuming you do not maintain an inventory).

 ALL income you got for any purpose goes on the income line of the Sch C  ... then you will expense the parts.
