I have amended return by importing an additional form 1099-DIV. do I need to attach a copy of the form to the return, or not (since it was imported)?

E-filed, taxes, then a new 1099 came in the mail.

No, you do not need to attach a copy of your 1099-DIV to your amended return to mail, it is not required by the IRS.
