I have accidentally indicated in the software that my husband (filing separately) is doing itemized deductions, but he is not. The software won't let me go back and change my answer. How do I change this?

UPDATED FOR TAX YEAR 2019

You can make the change in Personal Info.  Please follow these steps:

  1. Click My Info in the black bar at the left of our screen.
  2. Click on Edit next to your filing status.
  3. On the next screen, Let's confirm your marital status, click Continue.
  4. On the next screen, Let's see if these apply, you can select or unselect the box that either you or your spouse are itemizing deductions.
