A tax return is the form you send to the IRS.  A tax refund is what you receive from the IRS if you had a tax overpayment.

TurboTax does not receive any kind of tax refund, federal or state.

The tax refund is sent to you by the IRS.

If you requested to have your TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to the third party processor to have the TurboTax fees and the service charge deducted from the refund.  the third party processor would then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund in the account you specified on your federal tax return.

Did you request to have the TurboTax fees paid from the federal tax refund?

Not sure what your question or problem is.   Is your wife’s name missing on your 1040 tax return?  Did you select Married and filing Jointly?  Better download and print a copy of your return to check it over.

Who is "they" that only put on your name?   Unless you used online Full Service and had your return prepared completely by a tax expert, the data on your Form 1040 was whatever you -- the user -- entered.   If you omitted entering your spouse's name, that was your own error.

What filing status did you use?   Did you say you were filing married filing jointly and forget to enter your spouse's information?   Or did you choose to file using an incorrect filing status like "single?"

What does it say on the IRS refund site?

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
