I Got my tax ID# in March 10 2023. Do I put that as my business start-up date.

If March 10,2023 is my official start-up date, can I claim the printer I bought in February 2022 as start-up costs?

When did you actually begin you business?  Did you buy the printer with the intentions of only using it for business?  Or did you buy the printer for personal use, and then decide to open your business after that?

The business start date typically refers to the date when a company started its actual operations, rather than the date of incorporation or registration. It is the day when the business officially begins providing goods or services to customers, generating revenue, and conducting its core activities.
