Is the IRS letter asking for forms 8962 and the 1095A?   Did you enter a Form 1095A into the program?

Having the same issue....Looking at the forms 8962 does not have the monthly amounts entered on it just the totals.....could this be the problem????  Seems like a program error, as monthly amounts entered on the 1095A form should have been transferred to the 8962 ?????

I believe if all the months have the same amount in them, and didn't change at any point in the year, then just the annual totals appear on the 8962.

Are all the months identical on the actual 1095A you received?

It appears that all the amounts in each column  were the same and entered correctly.  totals are correct as well.  but info I have from IRS is that something is wrong with the 8962???

@TaxGuyBill  you know the 8962 backwards and forwards, any guesses as to why this would occur?    or how to remedy it?

@tarasnell37  you're not giving enough information for anyone to help you...do you have the IRS letter with you?  What exactly is it asking for?

Checked the other returns I filed.....same nothing in the monthly columns of the 8962.  the other returns went through alright, so that must NOT be it...

what do you mean "other returns"?  Was this a shared policy and allocated to different people on different returns?

Lisa....I filed 3 returns this year don't be obtuse..this return was the FIRST ONE I filed.  The IRS SAID that they did NOT have the information from the 8962.  Turbo Tax failed to fill in the information from the 1095-A form to 8962.  NOT ONLY on this return, but on all the other ones that I filed....total of 3....It was a software failure that they are exploiting to avoid having to pay refunds...been using this for OVER 25 years, first time I've had any issues whatsoever.  IT WAS AND IS A SOFTWARE GLITCH......So now I will have to send copies of my 8962 AND 1095-A to the IRS....BECAUSE TURBO TAX FAILED TO SEND THE CORRECT FORMS TO THE IRS.....GET IT????

No, we don't get it.  Did you file 3 returns for 3 different people?
You can only file 1 return for yourself.

If the IRS is requesting form 8962 see       <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/6765257">https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/6765257</a>

Volvo Girl.......I filed 3 different returns, for 3 different people......with the information from a 1095-a correctly entered....I can file multiple returns from TurboTax guess you didn't know that....but most importantly this was THE FIRST ONE I FILED......no issues on the the 2nd and 3rd.......  The link is incomplete information.  IF I FILE, ALL NECESSARY FILES SHOULD BE INCLUDED.  Apparently this happened, but only on 2 out of 3......a bad percentage.....

I guess I don't understand.   You only see annual totals on the 8962 unless the monthly amounts changed during the year, then all the individual monthly amounts show.

You said the 8962 matches the 1095A but then you say the forms were not included.....if the return shows the 8962 then it was included with the filing, WHY IRS seems to think the figures on the return don't match their records is the mystery...unless the insurance co  issued a corrected 1095A for that particular person at some point and you didn't get it.
