I forgot to fill out my M1PR while filing my taxes. Can I still do it?

Yes, it is not too late to file your Renter's Property Tax Refund.  In general, this form is filed by mail and is filed separately from your tax return, especially if your state tax return was e-filed. It uses information from the return, but is filed separately and the refund is not included in your state refund amount.  It is an additional amount to be received.

The due date for your 2015 refund request is August 15, 2016.

Please see the information below for how to complete your M1PR using TurboTax Online after you have filed.

You can also file online by going to the Minnesota Department of Revenue website and selecting "File for FREE using the Property Tax Refund Online Filing System"
