I forgot to claim myself on this years 2016 taxes when I filed how do I amend my tax return?

If you are not a dependent on someone else's tax return, you do not claim yourself as a dependent on your tax return.  You receive a personal exemption in the amount of $4,050 automatically when you file your return as the taxpayer.
