I filled an amended IRS on 03/06/24 that was accepted by IRS, IN which I was suppose to get an extra $2500. Back on top of my $1143 refund. Nothing yet?

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.

According to IRS, they are currently working the batch of amended returns from March.

You still have to wait the amount of time it takes to actually approve your changes.

The current processing time is more than 20 weeks for both paper and electronically filed amended returns.
