I filed taxes using turbotax as an international student, but I did not know I could not use it, what now?

So, I am in the United Sates on F1 Visa since 2017, I decided to use turbotax for my 2020 tax return, and have already received a tax return.I did not know that international people could not use turbotax. What can I do now to solve this situation and how do I return the money. I currently live in Florida.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Since you are not eligible to file a Form 1040, you will need to "undo" your filing by amending your return.  When you amend, you will need to delete or change all of your entries to $0.  The TurboTax Amend feature will not be ready until 03/25-2021.  To be notified when it is ready, click on Email me when this form is ready.

You will need to file a 1040-NR.  Although TurboTax doesn't support IRS Form 1040-NR (U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return), we have partnered with Sprintax to offer both federal and state tax preparation for international students, scholars, and nonresident foreign professionals.
