I filed taxes on 3/5 with a refund to come 3/25. I filed an amended on 4/2 and now my taxes show as pending with no refund info. What do I do? Will my orig. refund come?

Ok ... so you efiled the original return and did not wait for the original refund before amending the return  and the original return is still being processed.   

Bad move ... you were supposed to wait for the original return to be fully processed and you have the original refund in hand before sending in the amended return. 

Now all you can do is WAIT for the original return to be processed.  Only then will the amended return be processed.  

Depending on why you amended the return the IRS may make the correction themselves and then send a reduced refund and the amended return will be ignored.  Otherwise expect a bill for the unpaid balance due on the 1040X so save the excess first refund to pay the bill immediately to avoid any penalties or interest. 

Thank you so much. Not the answer I hoped for but at least now I know.  Just wanted to clear up my mistake quickly. Thought it would make my return move along. Bummer!
