I filed on the 14th but IRS still shows “Status Not Available”

I normally have to pay so I have no refund bank information on file. I tried to log in to the IRS.gov web site but I get “Status Not Available” every time. It won't even let me log in to add bank information. What is Turbo Tax doing that leaves the IRS with not enough information?

It depends.

The IRS has limited operations and this may be contributing to the delay. They are in the process of issuing stimulus payments and processing e-filed returns.

As far as the stimulus payment, the IRS has just started issuing the stimulus payments and is working as quickly as they can to issue the payments.
