NO. You need to wait to see if the IRS Accepts or Rejects your return. If they reject it you can add it and resend it. If it is Accepted you need to wait for the IRS to finish processing it and you get the first refund or pay the tax due. Then you can amend to add it. So first take out the unemployment 1099G and put your return back to the way it was when you originally filed it.
So once I get my refund I should amend it? Will that affect me receiving my first one at all? Sorry I’m just confused this is my first time messing this up 😕
No it won’t affect the original return and refund. Then when you amend to add it you may have to pay some of the refund back.
