I filed my tax return feb. 4 2018, my refund has been in review sense March 2018, it's now June 2018 and haven't heard nothing help?

My refund has been in review process for over 5 months. Filed in February 2018, received a letter from irs stating refund is in review, it will be delayed.  Called 30 days later, nothing. 90 days later, I was advised to filed an amended 1040x, because I added a 2016 w2 with 2017 taxes, and that's why it was in review.  So I called back to ask how to get that form filed and a different irs worker.advised me not to do that saying it would take even longer. Not sure what to do or who to speak to. I need this money I'm losing everything, next I'll be homeless please I don't know what to do?

If it's been more than 90 days since the return was accepted  then you can ask for help from the Tax Payer Advocate office:

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

If you are unsuccessful with the Taxpayer Advocate for your area, you can also try the special IRS phone number for the Taxpayer Advocate Service at 877-777-4778.
