I filed injured spouse after my refund was processed. That was almost 4 weeks ago. Nothing has changed on wmr or wmar. How do I check if it was received?

Injured spouse forms can take 3-4 months to complete processing.

Did you put tracking on the envelope when you mailed it?  You wont get any type of confirmation of receipt except for your tracking.

No I didn't. I thought the irs page said if you file injured spouse on its own after your original return was processed it takes 8 weeks? I know it says 14 if you file it with your original return.

Yes it supposed to be 8 weeks I file 2 -11 found out I was gonna be offset sent in and accepted on 3-11 and her I am.  3 extra weeks later still nothing .... I’m in contact with a tax professional you may be entitled to interest on your refund because they didn’t complete there stuff within there given time frame

So I contacted the IRS april 3rd. They said they received it 3/2 started working on it 4/1. They said it was being worked on and it's 8 weeks from the time they receive it. Called again at the end of April...they said it's processing and the 8 weeks only applies to it being completed...its another 4-6 weeks to process. So I should have it by mid June. met just this week updated to no bars "your refund is being processed". I'm calling Tuesday if I don't get it tomorrow.

Regardless of how long it takes, you won’t get any information from “where’s my refund”.   That is only used for refunds from tax returns, not payments resulting from separately filed injured spouse claims.
