I filed Form 8917 (Tuition Deduction that was recently extended) with my 2017 Tax return, but TurboTax used the 2016 form. Do I need to amend?

I filed Form 8917 (Tuition Deduction that was recently extended) with my 2017 Tax return, but TurboTax used the 2016 form. Do I need to amend it to use the form with the correct year?  I did see there was a lot of confusion since this was extended sometime in January of 2018.

No, you do not need to amend, the calculations are the same.  The form version (2017) will automatically update sometime in the future.  This deduction, as well as a few others, was extended earlier this month, and the forms won't be finalized for another week or two.  Rest assured, however, the calculations, deductions, and credits generated are accurate.
