I filed before the latest stimulus bill and I owed around $300 but now when I try to amend the return at the top of the page I've gone from owing to now getting a $600

I can't get a true refund amount for the where's my refund page,it grew once I tried to amend,which it won't let me do.

Did you have unemployment benefits? If so, DO NOT amend your return. The IRS is going to recalculate your tax return for the $10,200 unemployment exclusion and send you a refund. (You still have to pay the amount you originally owed, if you have not paid it already.) It might take several months to get the refund. For details see the following announcement, which the IRS just issued yesterday (March 31).
